GENTLE SKINCARE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

Unscented, fragrance-free products are best.

It’s no secret that commercial skincare brands aren’t always transparent. But, did you know that in commercial skincare products, any ingredient listed as “fragrance” means it can be an undisclosed chemical? When a list of ingredients is not disclosed individually, a manufacturer can choose to list as “fragrance”. This can lead to the use of harmful chemicals and parabens, which are especially damaging for babies and people with sensitive skin.

TIPS FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

1

Know what you’re buying.

At The Soap Haven, we list all our ingredients so you know what exactly you’re putting onto your skin — there are absolutely no parabens or SLS (sulphates or sulfates), ever. Here’s what you should look for:

1

  • Goat’s Milk — well known for skincare properties (it’s no surprise that our Goat Milk soap is a No. 1 best seller!)
  • For sensitive skin that’s also oily, look for products with coconut oil as a main ingredient — it produces the most lather for cleansing oil away.
  • For sensitive, irritated skin, aim for soaps that have soothing aloe and calendula.
  • Always pick something unscented.
